Engine Air Filter - Subaru (16546AA16A)
This is a 100% Genuine Subaru Part
An air filter (16546AA16A) or an air cleaner element is a vital part of your car engine. This air intake system component keeps dirt, debris, and other contaminants from entering your engine. Without it, the inner components of your engine can be damaged and cost you expensive repairs.
Since these air cleaner elements are often exposed to corrosive materials, they are more prone to wear and tear. Most air filters need to be replaced every 12,000 miles or as prescribed in your car owner’s manual. If you regularly drive your car on rough and dusty terrain, considering changing your air filter more often. These filters can clog over time, resulting in engine misfires and poor fuel economy. Other telltale signs of worn air filters include rough engine noises, black smoke emissions, and a “Check engine light” that’s turned on.
